Maple Grove Hospital
As a longtime resident of the northwest suburbs, Representative Zellers has placed the community’s needs at the top of his priority list. In 2006, he recognized this growing community’s need for a new health care facility and began working with fellow legislators, community leaders and other stakeholders to make it a reality. Zellers helped bring all sides together to build a partnership and a plan for the new hospital.
On December 30, that effort was realized with the opening of the new Maple Grove Hospital. Now, residents of Maple Grove, Osseo and the northwest suburbs will have a venue for modern, patient-centered care close to home.
The new hospital also brings an economic boost to the area, providing 500 high-quality jobs to the northwest suburbs.
“This project not only ensures the health of our residents, but it also builds the health of our local economy. From construction and engineering to medical and technological, the new Maple Grove Hospital is a true job growth engine,” said Zellers.
The Maple Grove Hospital opens at a time when health care reform is a hot topic in Minnesota and across the nation. “Minnesota is a leader in health care and health care reform. Following innovators like Medtronic and the Mayo Clinic, the new hospital continues our state’s model of health care innovation,” Zellers said.
